A/C hose size is determined by the inside diameter of the hose. Outside diameters of hoses vary significantly and MUST NOT be used to determine hose size. All U.A.C.'s "Beadlock-style" fittings shown in this catalog are designed to be coupled to two-braid dimension hose ONLY. Hose sizes also are known by the "6, 8, 10, and 12" number designations. The chart below shows hose I.D.'s and their corresponding size number:
